Hombre que promovió el beisbol durante buen tiempo y fue en esa época donde el beisbol estuvo en sus mejores  momento el señor Mariano Cadena Bécquer fue el que promovió el beisbol anterior a  el Sr. Jaime como también Joaquín Montalvo Pérez conocido como el Pilin.,  nos comenta el Sr. Jaime que siendo presidente  municipal el C.P. Cristi Reyes es cuando se hace la permuta para el lugar donde anteriormente se le llamaba campo el chontal siendo este espacio fondo legal y es adquirido por el gobierno municipal lo cual se tienen planos donde el Sr. Joaquín Rodríguez   es quien hace planos de este espacio que a la fecha existe y que mucho se ha hablado de ello, que es  donde se encuentra la unidad deportiva Miguel Hidalgo ya que anteriormente se localizaba en el barrio cuarto donde se ubica el mercado municipal.   Actualmente el beisbol está olvidado en este municipio  donde han surgidos excelentes peloteros como Bacho Torres, el Sr alejandrino  El Negro Rivas, Bagdolio  Pérez, Juan el Ñaco Alor, Adán Torres, José Torres, Chico Montalvo, Elidió Salome conocido por tribilin, Abel Salome conocido como la Rata, Felipe Piñuelo y otros que se nos escapan a la memoria, peloteros  que pusieron muy en alto a este municipio a nivel local y regional, incluso a nivel nacional. Recordando tiempos gloriosos de Cosoleacaque en la liga otoña cuyo organizador lo era nuestro amigo Blandelino  Alor que lo patrocinaba y jugaba además Juan  Merlín con el equipo que quedara campeón llamado carboneros en un polémico juego. El cerro del gallo, un campo donde también se jugó el beisbol y que era el atractivo ese cerro que con el tiempo lo desaparecieron como también el campo al venderle el ejido al municipio para la ampliación del panteón municipal.

Cosoleacaque ha tenido ligas pequeñas y se recordara cuando se realizo la liga infantil y juvenil de beisbol llamada salvador Colorado, mucho se hablo de esta liga que tan solo fue un escaparate para fines políticos y que desapareciera al llegar al poder los que la organizaron.

Será que Cosoleacaque con una nueva administración vuelva a resurgir como aquellos tiempos? La respuesta la tienen las autoridades que están por iniciar un nuevo periodo ya que hubo un retroceso en la administración saliente.
